Staff Environmental Health and Safety Compliance Consultant (Boston)

ERM is seeking a Staff Environmental Health and Safety Compliance Consultant to join our Performance & Assurance technical team in Boston, MA. The successful candidate will work on a variety of technically challenging projects for clients throughout New England, with increasing responsibility for task/project management duties. This is an excellent career opportunity to work with an expert consulting team on challenging health and safety management projects for large industrial and global clients. RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Provide technical assistance on environmental, health and safety compliance, EHS management system, and training projects.

·       Provide on-site EHS compliance support at client facilities.

·       Perform EHS compliance audits and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

·       Implement EHS management systems and programs for corporate clients.

·       Prepare and provide client-specific training concerning environmental, health and safety subjects.

·       Prepare technical proposals and participate in business development with existing clients and identified leads. Maintain client relationships that generate repeat business.

·       Communicate with clients, ERM employees, and vendors.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

·       Bachelors in engineering, Environmental or H&S Science, Occupational H&S, Health Sciences, or related discipline; Masters a plus.

·       GSP or ASP certification preferred.

·       Experience developing, auditing, and/or maintaining corporate management industry standards preferred (either as a consultant or an internal compliance officer).

·       Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.

·       Strong MS Office computer skills; advanced understanding of PowerPoint, Excel, and Access desired.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills; with experience delivering presentations and training subjects as well as writing comprehensive technical reports and standards.

·       Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed.

·       Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
