The DART (Data Analytics Rotation & Training) Program is a highly selective 2-year program comprised of 3-4 rotations across various business functions. As a rotational analyst, you will be exposed to different areas of Capital Group’s business and contribute to the success of the company with your quantitative skills.
DART offers you the chance to:
  • Try jobs in different departments through rotational assignments utilizing your data analytics skills. You’ll have opportunities to work with Investment-related functions, Research, Sales, Strategy, Trading, and Operations to explore what you are truly interested in.
  • Attend a training Boot Camp with your cohort to sharpen your analytical skills, and get free access to unlimited online learning sites throughout the program.
  • Build relationships with business leaders across different departments.
Where is the program located?
DART Associates are based in Southern California (Los Angeles and Irvine). Upon your successful completion of the 2-year rotational program, we work with you to identify great long-term placements across our global offices based on your interest and the needs of the business.
Eligibility Requirements
  • Undergraduate students with an anticipated graduation date of Spring 2019. Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Machine Learning, Engineering, Computer Science or related quantitative focus with a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Candidates perusing a Master’s in Financial Engineering, Quantitative Finance, Computer Science or equivalent with a graduation date of Spring 2019 will be considered
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau), analysis tools (i.e. R, SAS, SQL), and/or coding experience (Java, C++, Python or Perl) preferred
  • Demonstrated interest and experience leveraging analytics and working with large amounts of data to drive significant business impact. This could include but not limited to areas such as data management, data science, data engineering, and business analytics.
  • Passion for learning and demonstrated leadership in extra-curricular activities
  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and analytical skills in areas of high complexity and ambiguity
  • Demonstrated interest in investment management a plus
