Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

Reporting to the Business Unit Controller, provide management reporting leadership for growing GENEWIZ business. This position will have significant impact on the financial performance of the business, providing guidance towards continued profitable growth. Contribute and support the GENEWIZ leadership and Brooks Global Finance team.  
Provide leadership in financial performance management, operational linkage to financial results, continuous process improvement, and strategies that ensure financial stability and optimal business profitability. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
Finance Leadership
  • Own business unit operational finance performance management to include budgeting, forecasting, analysis, risk and opportunity assessments. 
  • Manage key spending decisions including Capital, Engineering, Opex, and Inventory.
  • Drive process improvement in the financial processes with an emphasis on achieving best in class process cycle times, reliable reporting, and effective information.
  • Provide support to Corporate Finance function for external reporting, as well as Board and Board Committee reviews.
  • Provide leadership to FP&A team. Engage and develop employees to reach their full potential.
  • Liaise with Corporate Finance on finance integration efforts. 
Business Partnership
  • Establish role as business partner to the business unit leaders. Contribute to formulating and executing the strategic and operational plans. Identify both long and short term risks and opportunities to achieve goals.
  • Provide insight, driving optimal performance by providing analysis, advice, insight and foresight that is grounded by a solid understanding of the operational dependencies of the business, and financial implications of business decisions. 
  • Help bring alignment across the organization through clarity of the key business drivers and the impact of each function on these drivers. Act as a sounding board to other business leaders on the financial and strategic prudence of their business plans.
  • Collaborate with the business team in customer negotiations and provide guidance on revenue recognition and project profitability.
  • Identify and drive programs to drive improvements in financial results including gross margin and SG&A productivity initiatives.
 
Requirements:
  • Requires BS degree in Finance or equivalent and a minimum of 8-10 years Finance, preferably in public company
  • CPA preferred
  • Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement and process excellence
  • Understanding of emerging technology platforms and services; HFM Planning and reporting capabilities preferred.
