Core Technology Engineering Intern

This role will support laboratory and/or data analysis activities within the Engineering team in CTIP, as part of new product development, quality, or sustaining projects within the group, while providing the student with a hands-on, real world experience in Engineering.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting experiments under the supervision of Edwards engineers and technicians;
  • Documenting and reporting test results to the Engineering team
  • Writing test plans
  • Executing Engineering change process
  • Compiling a summary report and/or presentation at the end of the assignment
  • The selected student intern will work within the CTIP Engineering team on a wide variety of projects and assignments, including but not limited to new product development, core technology, sustaining engineering, quality improvement, and/or cost reduction.  
  • S/he will conduct and support product testing as part of key cryopump & cryocooler projects at Edwards. 
  • The candidate will compile, chart, analyze, and report out results on assigned projects. 
  • The candidate will also complete and manage engineering change requests through final implementation as needed.
  • For the duration of their assignment, the intern will serve as a full-fledged member of an Engineering team.  
  • Assignments will typically be structured to allow conclusions/completion in under 3 months.
