DMC is a project-based engineering consulting firm focused on software development and control systems. We develop and implement solutions for a wide range of industries using a variety of technologies and platforms. DMC has four key service areas, and while most of our engineers work exclusively in one service area, some others work in multiple:
Manufacturing Automation & Intelligence
DMC's Automation team programs a variety of electromechanical industrial equipment that keep factory floors running, including controllers, servos, user interfaces, and more. Our strong focus on controls and software engineering helps ensure we provide clients with efficient and modern automation solutions.
Test & Measurement Automation
DMC's Test & Measurement team develops automated test systems for data acquisition, end of line quality control, and research and development using LabVIEW programming for off-the-shelf and custom hardware. Our team of engineers helps our clients automate test systems using the latest technologies.
Embedded Development
DMC's Embedded team helps customers with their product development needs. Our services include developing intelligent hardware systems, from circuit design and custom PC boards to complex embedded systems. Our industry experience includes industrial products, industrial electronics, consumer products, and more.
Application Development
DMC's Application Development team develops and maintains software solutions in a wide variety of technologies. We work with our clients to understand their needs, and deploy our wide-ranging experience to design and execute an approach that meets them. DMC has built diverse applications for various client needs by focusing on two goals during the development process: develop modern, intuitive interfaces and build well-structured, maintainable code.

What we are looking for:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Interest and ability to program, including text-based languages and object-oriented concepts
- Proven ability to learn new skills quickly and continuous desire to improve and grow
- Experience collaborating with teams and interacting with stakeholders
This is an entry level position, ideally suited to someone with 0 - 3 years' experience. We have an exceptional onboarding and training program and will help you learn everything you'll need!
What you'll do:
- All engineers at DMC focus on programming and software solutions, but what you'll do depends on which service area you join:
- Manufacturing Automation and Intelligence: Controls programming including food and beverage processing and packaging, automotive assembly lines, and packaging machinery controls
- Test and Measurement Automation: Develop automated test systems using LabVIEW and text-based languages including, battery pack test systems, automated test stand design, vision application development, appliance testing, and cloud enable test and measurement systems
- Embedded Development: Embedded system development including consumer product development and business product development, embedded vision systems, and IoT connected devices
- Application Development: Front end and back end programming using C#, C++, Java, Python, etc. including PC applications, web applications, and IoT solutions
- Collaborate with varying project teams of different sizes and experience levels
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and stakeholders while collaborating and responding to requests
- Asist senior engineers in scoping, estimating, and proposing new projects
- Work with project teams to manage and complete tasks by prioritizing needs and understanding risks and roadblocks
- Develop and grow leadership skills
- For our Manufacturing Automation team, travel to customer manufacturing sites for commissioning solutions, including troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems. Please note that 25-50% travel is required for this position, but there is the option to travel more for those interested in seeing the world! (Additional benefits are available for those interested in high amounts of travel)

Compensation:
Please note compensation is based on credentials and location:
- Engineer Level I (0-3 years relevant experience): $76,000 - $82,500
DMC typically evaluates compensations and grants raises on an annual basis (raise amounts are dependent on company and individual performance).
DMC believes in rewarding employees for additional effort beyond what is expected. One of the ways we recognize employees is through Extra Effort bonuses, intended to reward employees for periods of working extremely long hours, working more than the occasional weekend, or other acts of extra effort.
Additionally, for employees who are required to travel, DMC offers Site and Travel Compensation, which is intended to compensate them for time spent working at customer locations while away from DMC's offices.
