POSITION TITLE: Reporting Analyst
MANAGER: Director of Portfolio Analytics & Risk Management
BROAD FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION
This position is responsible for creating and supporting the reporting processes that provide efficiency and visibility to the investment and financial reporting structures of the Investment Department.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Customize reports to facilitate client meetings; produce quarterly reporting and respond to marketing requests
Create and maintain access databases to support Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) reporting
Produce detailed, specific reports from FactSet for multiple accounts
Respond to marketing requests to update RFPs
Support and develop daily batch reports to assist in trade order management
Integrate various investment platforms to enhance quantitative reporting
Provide general reporting support for the Department
Update and configure old databases into a new, more efficient and user friendly format
Work with various business units on creating better processes for internal reporting
Provide development and supervision to junior professionals within the department
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s
degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field.
Experience: Minimum two years’
experience in similar role. Detail oriented, possessing strong math skills.
Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including: Access database and reports (Creation and processing), Excel spreadsheets, Word (Functional knowledge), Advanced SQL and VBA, ability to resolve and articulate system disparities. Possess basic programming and development skills and knowledge of FactSet, Bloomberg, and Northfield. Desire to work towards either an accreditation as a Chartered Financial Analyst or Master of Business Administration degree.
Skills: Display professionalism in all job aspects; possess strong technical financial analysis, strong sense of personal responsibility (including follow-through), and demonstrated interpersonal skills – working cohesively within team and with other company colleagues under pressure. Effective communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to speak persuasively, using facts and figures to support position. Strong attention to detail, in an effort to avoid errors. Work to accomplish repetitive responsibilities in an often fast-paced environment.
