What I liked

The people at this company are absolutely fantastic. I've never had better bosses. Furthermore, my daily job was, though demanding, incredibly rewarding and fun. I got to have some amazing experiences through this job and meet some amazing people.

What I wish was different

Very little. Perhaps a better description of my role in advance but everything was great overall.

Advice

If you are hired, be open to any of the trips they assign. You can get a ton out of any of them.

What I liked

The radically unique experience of this summer allowed me to escape from many stressors that I face during the year. From hanging out with the creative minds of younger kids to cooking, traveling, and creating adventures, I feel more prepared for living on my own in the future than I could have hoped for.

What I wish was different

The time commitment was quite long - due to other commitments on campus, I only had 5 days at home after my work this summer before I was flying back to W&L for the term (this is also because I must be on campus early as an RA/CA). Parts of the summer were incredibly tiring as well - it really is a 24 hour job. That considered, it was an unforgettable experience that I would not trade anything for, and I had the time of my life over this adventure-filled summer.

Advice

I would recommend this kind of summer for everyone - an escape from deskwork and getting to spend a full summer enjoying the outdoors, spending time with kids, and remembering what is really important. I'd advise getting lots of sleep, not stressing too much about logistics (the trips will be great no matter what!), and to enjoy it, because it flies by.
