The employees and customers were very mean, the pay was so bad that it didn't make it worth it to deal with all of them. Even with tips I could work an 8-hour shift and not even make minimum wage. Not to mention the general manager, Sheryl, was the meanest of the entire bunch and always yelling at you through the headset and just the rudest, most disrespectful person to her employees.
Advice
Don't get a job at Longhorn Steakhouse, you can do better.

Waitress
May - August 2018 • Ponte Vedra Beach, FL
What I liked
I loved the people I worked with, Longhorn was also great in what they stand for and focused on the dinning experience of the customers and keeping that consistent at each of the locations. It was a corporation and so seeing the dynamic of a large national chain was interesting and how important it is to keep each restaurants expectation the same. They also did their best to ensure the employees were well off, they provided meals at work and good benefits for servers as well.
What I wish was different
I thought it was ran very well and efficiently. The only thing that maybe could be improved would be the layout itself of the restaurant- The layout was nation wide the same and I felt the way the seating on a table is supposed to be set up was a little odd.
Advice
That anyone going into this roll, must focus on the relationship with customers and providing them with the best experience possible.
